Hall Grand Opening a success!

Over 250 people from all forms of Motorsport across Canada attended the June 10 opening, which was highlighted with reunions for Pinecrest and the CNE Speedways. Mayor Gordon Krantz was on hand to participate in the official ribbon-cutting ceremony with CMHF President Thom Dickinson.

Hall Grand Opening & Golden years Event
|
The Grand Opening of the Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame's new location, celebrating the Golden Years of Stock Car Racing in Toronto, will take place Saturday June 10th, from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm. This event will be held at the new home of the Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame, located at Legendary Motor Car, 5th line Milton, Ontario. There will be an admission charge of $5.00/car to help preserve the heritage of racing in Canada.
The general public is invited! We also welcome all former CNE, Pinecrest, Oakwood and Speedway Park drivers, crew members, sponsors and fans to the event, which will celebrate the fact that 2006 marks 40 years since the closing of the CNE speedway and 30 years since the last race at Pinecrest.
The Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame was created not only to preserve the history of Stock Car Racing, but to celebrate the racing heritage of all forms of Motorsport across Canada and those heros who made the sport the exciting spectacle that it was and continues to be today.

The Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame's Mosport Track Day is set for June 15, 2006!
Support the Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame and have fun in the process! Bring your street or race car and enjoy a day of lapping.
In attendance will be well known past and present Canadian racers Scott Goodyear, Marty Roth, Ken Wilden and Ludwig Heimrath, who will be available to take you around the track in your car and give you ponters.

The Hall moves to its new home
|
The past three months have been intense and hectic, and have consisted of searching, visiting and comparing possible facilities, as we sought a new home for the Hall of Fame and Museum. The result is a two part plan that has seen the Hall and Museum relocate to space at what many of you know as Legendary Motorcar. located just off highway 401 at James Snow Parkway, just 15 minutes west of the Toronto airport.
Our plan is to secure the required funding and sponsorship that will enable us to move into a new, permanent home within three years. A home that would enable us to have all aspects of our operations, including our Archives, under one roof.
