Celebration of Speed – Monday, July 11 at CTMP… Tickets Available.

Ride-Along tickets and Track Day Passes are available HERE.

On Monday, July 11 (2022), the Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame (CMHF) will host – for the 10th time – its Celebration of Speed event, at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park
The Celebration of Speed (COS) is a Ride-Along and Track Day program on the Driver Development Track (DDT) at the legendary racing facility, located an hour northeast of Toronto.

Open to automotive and racing enthusiasts, the event is a fundraiser for the CMHF that matches members of the public (10 years of age and older) with experienced race drivers and their incredible vehicles.

The Ride-Along tickets are $125 each and give the guests four, three-lap sessions in the participating vehicles of their choice. When the event was last held, in 2019, the exotic fleet of Ride-Along machinery included the following marques: Audi, BMW, Corvette, Ferrari, Mercedes Benz, McLaren, Mustang, Porsche and others.

Upwards of 30 Ride-Along drivers and their high-performance cars are expected to be in action during the July 11 event.

“We bill this event as taking people for ‘the ride of their life’ in some very exciting automobiles, with some very experienced racing car drivers,” said Peter Lockhart, a member of the CMHF board and an inductee based on his long and successful racing career.

The event is a ‘win-win’ for everyone involved, as Track Day participants also have an opportunity to have a day of high-speed action, piloting their own cars on the challenging Driver Development Track.

All proceeds from the COS go to help support the Canadian Motorsport Heritage Foundation which operates the CMHF, a charitable organization founded in 1993.

The CMHF works tirelessly to recognize the achievements of those individuals and institutions that have realized significant accomplishments and have made outstanding contributions to motorsport in Canada by preserving, recording and displaying to the widest possible audience via virtual format, the appropriate information, materials and artifacts relative to them.

The Celebration of Speed is not a timed speed event or a contest of Speed. The Ride-Along and Track Day drivers are instructed to drive well within the limits of their cars and their individual skill levels.

The CMHF would like to recognize and thank Canadian Tire Motorsport Park – especially Ron Fellows and Myles Brandt – for their generous donation of the use of the DDT for this event. As well, the Hall is grateful to all of the participating Ride-Along car owners / drivers for helping to create special memories for the Ride-Along guests.
