Young Racing Prodigy Anthony Martella to be Featured Driver at CMHF Celebration of Speed

The Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame (CMHF) is excited to announce that 15-year-old racing sensation Anthony Martella will be a featured driver at the highly anticipated Celebration of Speed (COS) on August 5, 2024. This annual event will take place at the iconic Grand Prix Circuit at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTMP), located just an hour northeast of Toronto.

Anthony Martella, a rising star in the racing world, has had an impressive year so far, securing a full-season entry in the Sports Car Championship Canada (SCCC) presented by Michelin with Martella Motorsports. Martella made history as the youngest SCCC driver to start and finish on the podium during his remarkable debut at the Victoria Day SpeedFest at CTMP. Despite a busy schedule that includes competing in the open-wheel USF Junior championship in the USA and with Martella Motorsports driving the Audi TCR in the FEL series at the Ontario Honda Dealers Indy Toronto, Martella has agreed to make time to support Celebration of Speed, the CMHF’s flagship fundraising event.

Celebration of Speed will offer a unique opportunity for fans and automotive enthusiasts to experience the thrill of high-speed racing. As part of the event, special VIP tickets will be available for an “Anthony Martella VIP Ride” in the Audi LMS TCR. For $100, guests can enjoy one three-lap session riding shotgun with Anthony Martella, with a limit of 20 tickets available for purchase.

“We are incredibly fortunate to have Anthony Martella join us at this year’s Celebration of Speed,” said Peter Lockhart, Board Chair of the CMHF. “His skill is truly impressive, and having him at our event is a real highlight. What an extraordinary opportunity for our guests to experience the thrill of riding alongside one of the sport’s most promising young drivers.”

All proceeds from the event support the Canadian Motorsport Heritage Foundation, a charitable organization founded in 1993 that operates the Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame (CMHF) which honours individuals and organizations for their notable achievements and significant contributions to Canadian motorsport.
