Peter Lockhart is a Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame inductee (2016) and an established executive and board leader whose career spans senior roles in business, motorsport, and national not-for-profit governance. A member of the CMHF Board of Directors since 2015, he currently serves as Board Chair. Professionally, he is Principal of Lockhart Strategic Consulting and holds senior motorsport roles as a Licensed FIA Deputy Race & Sporting Director with FEL Motorsports and Series Manager for Radical Cup Canada.
Peter’s executive career includes decades of leadership in consulting, commercial real estate, and national event organizations. He served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Canadian National Sportsmen’s Shows from 2012 to 2020, including leading the organization through the unprecedented challenges of COVID-19.
As a competitor, Peter brings more than 25 years of road racing experience across Canada and the United States. He has competed and won in series including SCCA Formula Ford, Firestone Firehawk Endurance Championship, Players GM Series, and Corvette Challenge, with experience spanning sprint racing to 12- and 24-hour endurance events. He also owned and operated his own team, secured major corporate sponsorships, and mentored drivers including Mark Wilkins and IMSA champion Kuno Wittmer, earning him a reputation as a respected ambassador for Canadian motorsport.
