JMF MOTORSPORTS RISING STAR AWARD
Each year, alongside its Class of Inductees, the Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame (CMHF) recognizes an emerging Canadian driver whose talent, professionalism, and determination mark them as a future leader in the sport.
The JMF Motorsports Rising Star Award is presented to an up-and-coming competitor who has demonstrated exceptional performance on track, strong personal character and marketability, and a clear commitment to building a professional motorsport career. Through the support of JMF Motorsports, the award includes a $25,000 career-development grant to help advance the recipient’s next steps in competition, testing, training, and program development.
The Rising Star Award is selected by the CMHF Board of Directors and presented on stage during the annual CMHF Induction Gala — spotlighting the achievements of Canada’s next generation of elite racing talent and helping connect them with opportunities that support their growth in the sport.
Since its introduction in 2016, the Rising Star Award has been presented annually with one exception, it was not awarded in 2020 due to the pandemic. The program was further strengthened in 2023, when JMF Motorsports joined as presenting partner under a five-year commitment. Today, the Rising Star Award stands as a core component of the CMHF’s mission to recognize, encourage, and support emerging Canadian racing talent.
