Nicole Lascelle has more than two decades of experience in motorsports communications, sponsorship strategy, and media relations. She began her career as a sportswriter, covering a wide variety of sports and major events before specializing in motorsport, where her work included reporting on the Grand Prix du Canada and Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières for the Montreal Gazette and Canadian Press. She later transitioned into public relations with Edelman Public Relations Worldwide, where she provided communications support for Teleglobe’s sponsorship of British American Racing’s entry into Formula 1 with driver Jacques Villeneuve.
Nicole later served as Communications Officer for the Toyota Atlantic Series and provided advance communications support to CART and the Champ Car World Series. As part of Torchia Communications, she helped manage Brown & Williamson’s sponsorship of Team KOOL Green, working with drivers Paul Tracy and Dario Franchitti. She also led communications for Kangaroo TV (FanVision) during its rollout across CART, NASCAR, and Formula 1.
After motorsport, Nicole moved into government communications, leading issues management, legislative tracking, and Question Period preparation for a federal cabinet minister with a multi-file portfolio. She later served as a political attachée to a Quebec cabinet minister and then worked as a lobbyist for a publicly traded company. She now provides strategic communications counsel and editorial support to a law firm specializing in Aboriginal and AI law. Nicole has been a member of the CMHF Board since in 2018 when she joined as the organization’s first female director. She currently serves as the Hall’s communications director.
