Honouring Our Past, Building Our Future
The Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame is proud to announce the launch of its new website. This redesigned digital platform places greater emphasis on the achievements, journeys, and contributions of the individuals who have shaped motorsport in Canada.
This site represents much more than a simple update. It marks an important step in our ongoing commitment to preserving our history, strengthening our community, and inspiring future generations of competitors, teams, technical and safety professionals, officials, media, builders, and volunteers.
For more than 30 years, the Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame has honoured those who have defined Canadian motorsport. Today, our mission continues with renewed energy, new initiatives, and a strengthened commitment to telling these stories with greater depth and accuracy.
Updating and Expanding Inductee Profiles
The Hall currently recognizes 328 inductees, and every one of them has a story worth preserving.
Many of the Hall’s earliest inductee profiles were created long before digital archives, online records, and comprehensive media databases existed. As a result, some profiles do not yet reflect the full depth, impact, and legacy of the individuals they represent. We believe every inductee deserves a record that truly honours their contribution to Canadian motorsport.
As part of this evolution, we are undertaking a major initiative to:
- update and expand biographical profiles
- recover historical documents and archival materials
- add photography, multimedia content, and career histories
- ensure accuracy across eras and disciplines
This work is ongoing, and we warmly welcome information, photographs, stories, and archival material from:
- inductees and their families
- teammates and colleagues
- race organizers and historians
- friends, partners, and longtime supporters
If you can help us enrich the record of one of our inductees, we would love to hear from you. Together, we can ensure that their legacy is preserved with the depth, respect, and authenticity it deserves.
A Place for Supporters and Fans
The Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame website is intended to serve as a credible and accessible reference for anyone wishing to explore and better understand the history of Canadian motorsport.
The site offers a place to discover inductee stories, trace career paths, explore photographic and media archives, and deepen understanding of the people and moments that have shaped the sport across generations.
Whether you are a longtime fan, a student, a journalist, or someone newly discovering Canadian motorsport, the site is designed to be a reliable and enriching resource.
We also recognize that many meaningful stories, photographs, and memories exist in private collections, scrapbooks, garages, and personal archives. Supporters and fans who wish to contribute are invited to help by:
- sharing historic photos and materials (digitally)
- sharing race-day memories
- identifying overlooked milestones and achievements
- helping fill in missing details
Every contribution strengthens the historical record and helps preserve the stories and legacies of our inductees for future generations.
If you have something to share, we welcome your participation.
Introducing the CMHF Alumni Program
We are also pleased to introduce the new CMHF Alumni Association, led by CMHF Vice-Chair and inductee Derek Lynch (Class of 2022).
The Alumni Program will:
- reconnect inductees across generations
- create opportunities for mentorship and collaboration
- strengthen ties with fans and emerging talent
- support heritage, education, and storytelling initiatives
- highlight the voices and experiences of the Hall community
This initiative will help ensure that inductees continue to play an active role in shaping the future of the Hall and the future of Canadian motorsport.

CMHF Archives (From The Vault)
The Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame also produces the television series From The Vault, drawn from its archival collection. The series explores the Hall’s library to showcase Canadian motorsport television programming from the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, and early 2000s.
It gives audiences the opportunity to revisit historic broadcasts, memorable moments, and discover the personalities who shaped the sport across different eras.
From The Vault is presented by the Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame and airs on REV TV.
What Comes Next
The relaunch of our website marks the first step in a broader renewal of CMHF activities, including:

- continued verification and updating of biographies and records
- new opportunities for alumni to reconnect and share legacy stories
- preservation and digitization of historical CMHF materials
- stronger recognition of organizations and contributors to the sport
Our goal is simple:
