Inducted 2017 – NASCAR Canada Champion

Scott Steckly entered the world of asphalt oval track racing from his Central Ontario base in 1992, and for the next 5 years was very successful on the bullring tracks in the area.

Setting his sights higher, he began to compete in CASCAR Canada’s national stock car series in 1999, and less than 10 year later, had captured the first of 5 national championships in what became the NASCAR Pinty’s Series.

After this first title in 2008, he won 3 more, in 2011, 2013, and 2015 before retiring.

Along with these championships, he compiled an astounding 19 wins, 17 poles, and more than 48 hundred laps of competition, about 2000 more than his closest competitor!

Our inductee has kept active in the sport, fielding teams and drivers like Jacques Villeneuve, Alex Tagliani, and Donald Theetge.

Off the track, he’s played a prominent role in charity work with local food-banks and toy drives, along with partnering with Canadian Tire in promoting their “Jump Start for Children” initiative.
